Welcome to our website!
Shaking the Tree Foundation (STTF) has been established with the support of Sponsors such as Word Help Initiative, Sellbridge UK Ltd and Suxe International together with others. STTF is a non profit making Organisation with a mission to build Community Orphanages throughout Southern Africa using the medium of music, Shaking the Tree Foundation is the brainchild of Tim Smith who represents the Foundation in Southern Africa and currently lives in Swaziland. We wish, through the Foundation to host major concerts with World Famous Artists to raise money to build many Community orphanages, clinics and other establishments in the worst affected areas of Southern Africa, at the same time they wish to raise Global Awareness of the dire situation that HIV/AIDS has caused especially when it comes to all the orphans left alone in the wake of the AIDS pandemic.Swaziland is a very small but beautiful country nestling between South Africa and Mozambique. In the Past years the population has been decimated by HIV and AIDS. Indeed it has the highest recorded AIDS rate in the world with percentages up to 70% of the population having been affected. This horrible disease has seen the country's middle aged population decimated with approximately 70% having already died.

Sellbridge and Suxé International have made a commitment to support the Foundation in the future Sellbridge UK Ltd, & Suxé International. The Foundation is investigating the building of a World Class outdoor performance stage in Swaziland. Ragé Richardson our partner in Los Angeles, is talking to Diane Warren, Grammy award winning songwriter, with a notion to write a Launch Song like 'We Are The World', to be sung by a glittering array of Stars. Tim Smith is due to visit Los Angeles Mid 2018 to make the agreements with Ragé Richardson & Diane Warren. This step is so important as this will provide the Foundation with initial capital to build the needed infrastructure in Swaziland. Through Sellbridge's contacts around the world we then plan to invite famous artists to come to Swaziland to perform Benefit Concerts. The Artist may donate their performance free or at a reduced rate to help the orphans. The Foundation will sell the concert tickets to raise revenue to build new Community Orphanages, following each concert. Every concert will raise enough money to build and support a new Community Orphanage. Each Orphanage will be opened in the Artist's name hopefully with His Majesty King Mswati III of Swaziland, The Foundation plan to ask His Majesty to be the Patron of the Shaking the Tree Foundation.

The Foundation plan to construct Community Orphanages which will consist of the following:- Admin building & Offices, 20 Houses, A Pre-school including Admin block, classrooms, Library, Computer Lab, Refectory, Kitchens, Ablutions & Staff Accommodation, Other things needed include a Bore Hole, Septic Tanks, Connection to Power Grid a vegetable garden & animal pens. The Community Orphanage will also need ongoing financial support.
The Foundation will recruit the staff. Well-run orphanages employ teachers, counsellors, psychologists, guardians/house-mothers, speech and language therapists, gardeners, drivers and administrative staff, including marketing and outreach professionals who specialize in placing orphans with families. The caregiver to child ratio will depend upon the age of the child, and whether she/he has special needs. The Foundation are starting with Swaziland as we believe the situation here is the worst, but there are many of the surrounding countries with similar issues. There are not enough Orphanages in the region. It is clear that the affected countries need help from the World, but they also need to help themselves. There are a few ways that can generate the publicity and finances needed to help the situation. Generating the revenue within the country to help the suffering, minimises the costs and maximises what can be done. All through the medium of music.
The Foundation plan to ask double Grammy award winning Sound Engineer John Lindemann from South to design the Concert stage. John has worked with many of the big artists performing in Southern Africa, such as Paul Simon, Johnny Clegg, Ladysmith Black Mambazo,, Bob Dylan and many others.
e will use the stage 4 times a year for a quarterly concert. All other dates the stage is available for hire by anyone wishing to run a concert.
In 2017 the stage will be operational.
